COSMED Asia-Pacific sponsored the Cystic Fibrosis Metabolic Monitoring Grant
COSMED is pleased to announce that COSMED Asia-Pacific Pty Ltd sponsors the Cystic Fibrosis Metabolic Monitoring Grant 2021 in conjunction with The Australian Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust (ACFRT).
The aim of the grant is to improve the knowledge and skills of any professional person working on the metabolic needs of people with cystic fibrosis, to benefit those who have cystic fibrosis.
Optimal nutrition support is considered to be an integral part in the management of cystic fibrosis and Q-NRG Metabolic Monitor is the first Indirect Calorimeter specifically intended for Resting Energy Expenditure (REE).
The successful applicant will be provided with the loan of a COSMED Q-NRG Metabolic Monitor to use for one year. All costs of machine installation, support, training and consumables will be met by COSMED.
In addition, COSMED will provide up to $5,000 for other costs borne by the successful applicant when using the machine, subject to the approval of the applicant’s budget.
Suitable applicants include researchers, doctors, nurses and allied health professionals. Applications are to be sent to the ACFRT who will recommend the successful applicant to COSMED, once the ACRFT review panel has assessed the applications.
Applications must be received no later than 5.00pm (AEST) on Friday, 24th September, 2021.
