Body composition testing with the BOD POD for Real Madrid's players during their medicals

Top Spanish football team Real Madrid published on its website some insights on pre-season medical tests where COSMED technology was used to allow doctors to check players’ body fat percentage and muscle mass.

The tests that were carried out on the Spanish first team players throughout the morning by the Sanitas-Real Madrid medical services included the use of the BOD POD body composition tracking system. Real Madrid were, three years ago, the first team to acquire the technology, with which players' body composition can be ascertained and their body fat percentage and muscle mass checked.

Thanks to the BOD POD, Sanitas-Real Madrid medical services can closely monitor the progress of each first team player, select appropriate training regimes, set goals such as decreasing body fat or losing weight and establish a healthy diet.
