VO2max test using COSMED Aquatrainer at Incheon National University (INU) South Corea
Lee Seong-hak from Incheon National University's Exercise Medicine and Disability Rehabilitation Lab performed a VO2max test using COSMED Aquatrainer.
This innovative tool is an easy-to-mount swimming snorkel connected to COSMED K5 wearable metabolic system that allows to perform gas exchange analysis during swimming.
The operator can follow the swimmer by holding the wearable metabolic system using a special rod included in the standard packaging.
Swimming with the snorkel is considered a valid field condition to measure swimmers’ cardio-respiratory response.
Researchers and coaches can now acquire an incredible number of information on athletes tested in real conditions.
